They walk the nature trail and explore the beautiful grove of oak trees in the countryside John Steinbeck wrote of in his 1932 book, The Pastures of Heaven. The school serves 155 students in the fourth and fifth grades, with an average class size of 25 students. Teachers work closely together to plan dynamic lessons.
